I’ve been away for a while and it was a rough period for Barca. There are only two good news: Barca is in semi-finals of UEFA Champions League and Messi is back!

After draw with Getafe, Barca had to stay calm and maintain advantage against Schalke after a 1-0 win in Germany. That task was completed successfully, as Barca won at Camp Nou with Yaya Toure’s goal in 43rd minute. Next match in Champions League will be against Manchester United.

Barca also played against Recreativo. It was another disappointing result: a 2-2 draw. Barça got off to the best possible start with a goal after just 65 seconds. Xavi played the ball to Giovani on the right and the Mexican’s left foot cross was met by a Samuel Eto’o header from close in that gave goalkeeper no chance. Then in 41st minute a cross from the left was headed towards goal by Ruben, Valdés slipped but seemed to recover in time to save the ball on the line; however, the linesman decided the ball had crossed the line and the referee awarded a goal. At the beginning of the second half, Barca took the lead again: Ezquerro headed the ball down and Eto’o was allowed to control the ball and advance before unleashing a tremendous 20-yard shot into the top corner. Then in the 71st minute Camuñas crossed from the left and Abidal was caught sleeping allowing Ruben to get in at the far post to send an angled looping header over Valdés into the far corner.

This weekend Barca played against Espanyol.Match finished without goals, 0-0, but there were some bright moments which can give us hope for Tuesday and match against Manchester United.
